Some Michiana Cruisers went to the Blueberry Festival car show on Sunday & the weather turned out to be so perfect. We succeeded again in not winning the Club Participation trophy again this year. We lost out by just two cars to the Cruisin` Hoosiers Car Club.  I think we have lost the desire to win anymore.

A couple  Michiana Cruisers went to Muskegon on Labor Day for the Cars For Cancer Car Show put on by the Different Strokes Car Club. It was dry most of the trip there but wet most of the day. It finally cleared up later in the day in time to pass out the trophys. They had 99 trophys to pass out & there was 650 entrants in the show. Our Bob Agostino won a 1st place trophy with his beautiful Monte Carlo. Way to go Bob. It was an excellent car show except for the rain but we all had a good time anyway. The trip home was nice & sunny & warm.

Are there any Michiana Cruisers going to Heritage Square tonight for the cruise-in? It`s in Granger, IN.

On Sunday September 5th is the Blueberry Festival car show in Plymouth,IN.  The Michiana Cruisers usually go to this car show every year.  As everyone knows we have won the Club Participation Award at this show every year for about 5 years. Last year we got beat out by another club by just two cars!!  Some of our members want to go again this year & hopefully we`ll have enough go to win the Club Participation Trophy again. This is a very good car show with a large swap meet & a festival with lots of good food & lots of other things.

If you want to go we will be meeting at JD`s Truck Stop on the corner of US 12 & the Bypass. We will be leaving at 7:30am sharp to head for the car show. If you want to eat breakfast before you go we will be eating breakfast at the truckstop at 6:30am.  If 7:30am is to early for you to leave then just come down when you can.

I was asked if I could post this message for Bruce Wisner. As everyone knows most of the Michiana Cruisers were once in the Olde Boys Toys Car Club. The friends & family asked if we could post this message.

If there is anyone out there that remembers Bruce Wisner from the Olde Boys Toys Car Club we just want you to know that Bruce is not doing well. He  probably will only be with us for a short time. While talking to him I discovered he wants to go out in style. He will be taken to the cemetery in Berrien Center  by a Goldwing motor cycle pulling a Glass Case that will have his coffin in it. Congratulations to all the Michiana Cruisers that won trophys today at the Michiana Mopar & Friends Car Show. It was a good day for a car show.

On Sunday August 22, is the Michiana Mopar & friends Car Show.  This is an open car show. We usually have a pretty good size group of members go to this show.  The show is held at George Wilson Park on Dragoon Trail in Mishawaka. Registration is from 8am-Noon.  Entry is $15. & they give trophys for 1st,2nd & 3rd place. We will be leaving the Deisel Diner at 7am sharp.  If you want to eat breakfast then you should come early. We`ll be at Deisel Diner by 6am so everyone will have time to eat. I know it`s early but every year we get moved farther out in the field.  If you don`t want to leave that early then just come when you`re ready. On Saturday August 21 is the Dowagiac Rod & Roll Auto Show. The flyer says no cars before 7am. & Registration starts at 8am. Trophies will be at 3pm. Entry is $15.  Some of the Michiana Cruisers have been talking about going to this show & I have never been to it. The flyer says (All Car Clubs Welcome) so those club members that want to go together as a club where would be a good place to meet?  What would be a good time to meet also? The Michiana Cruisers are planning a return to the Niles Riverfest Car Show.  On Saturday August 7 is the date for the Niles Riverfest Car Show. The show runs from 8am-3pm. & entry fee is $10.00. We`re going to meet at the Courthouse in Niles so we can go in as a club & park together. We will be leaving the Courthouse at 7:30am to cruise the short distance to the Riverfest car show. We used to have a large group of members attend this show every year & I think we should try to get a large group of club members to attend the show again this year. I may have to work that Saturday so if I`m not there on time just go ahead without me & I`ll get there if I get off early enough.
